John retired in September 2009 after 40 years in the banking and finance industry. His last position was Interim Head of Property Finance at Lloyds International Australia, a subsidiary of the UK based Lloyds Banking Group Limited. He also spent long periods with Commonwealth Bank and ANZ prior to joining what became Lloyds International.
John was President of HeartKids Qld Inc (HKQ) from February 2011 until November 2013 and a Director of HeartKids Australia Inc from November 2012 until November 2013. He was previously appointed as an adviser to the HKQ Board in July 2010. He was Vice Chair of another Not-for-Profit entity, Graduate Careers Australia Limited from February 2011 until October 2016. Current positions include Advisory Committee Member of Downs & West Community Support and Finance Committee Member of St Vincent de Paul Society, Queensland.
John is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Diploma course and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
